About Us

It hasn’t been that long since we were kids, but we love remembering the good ole days. We hope you enjoy sharing those memories with us! Join us in remembering the years of 1980 to 2000. While some memories may be directly exclusive to our generation, others are timeless and therefore we felt they were also necessary to include. 20 years can make a big difference in what our childhoods were like, so if you think we are missing important stuff, let us know!

Sit back and enjoy the ride; you’ll be surprised at just how fun it is to remember those little details you forgot.

Who are The Y Kids?

Andrea Gonzalez

Andrea is a very big fan of her generation, so Y not blog about it? She is an Agricultural Communication major at the University of Georgia who loves the internet. This is her first real blog aside from her personal blogging attempts; the idea came to her when she was remembering just how awesome her bike was as a child. She is guilty of spending hours talking with her friends about childhood memories. Andrea and Matthew met in the summer of 2006 and the rest is history. They hope you enjoy the site as much as they enjoyed making it

Matthew Kammerer

Matthew is a Y Kid who is currently attending college in the mountains of Georgia at Young Harris College. He has interests ranging from web design to photography with a passion for the internet as most other Generation Y’ers. He is currently a writer and User Experience reviewer for UX Booth and runs a network of reptile websites. Who is more capable to be a writer for The Y Kid than a Generation Y’er involved in blogging?

You?
